The 21" Mascot Reel Mower Review

Would you rather drive a Cadillac or a Pinto? The Mascot reel mower really has it all together with the six blade cut. The Mascot 21 reel  mower is also the widest cutting mower on the market today.

The Mascot or Silent Cut lawn reel mower is American designed and engineered. This lawn reel mower was manufactured overseas under strict standards of the Amish suppliers but in my book still has that made in America genuine quality. In the Amish shop they personally  adjust and lubricate each reel push mower before shipping. They do manufacture frames to make 3 gang lawn reel mowers that can be pulled by horses.

A couple of things that I know about the Amish is their passion for hand made quality in machinery and furniture. This still exists today. The other thing is that in the Amish community it is up to the woman of the house to keep up the standards of the house and yard.

The Mascot reel mower being ten pounds heaver then most of the lawn reel mowers of today favored by the Amish to be operated by a woman. This lawn reel mower is designed with new technology as it is called the Silent Cut. This makes this lawn reel mower very easy to push.

I also like how the wheels were designed a little wider then most  lawn reel  mowers. This helps with traction and helps to hold the compaction down to a minimum. This more true when you are cutting wet grass which it does very well.

The roller on the back is a three piece segmented stile. This was  used  to help with maneuverability.  I like the way the Mascot reel mower stripes the grass as I mow.

One of the thing that add extra weight is the solid bedknife. This adds to it durability and aids in the great cut. The power coat paint is also to aid with long lasting. This lawn reel mower was built tough to last and is a great lawn reel mower for mowing small mediums like in public streets, fast food areas without worry of cars or patrons get hit with rocks or sticks.

This lawn reel mower is not intended for mowing at putting green height.
